Assistance required for implementation 1. Diagnostic study to identify legal and procedural gaps in coordinated border operations.
2. Support for the National Committee on Trade Facilitation in creating a legal and consultative framework governing the cooperation of agencies at the borders and in developing a strategy and procedures for its implementation.
3. Development of procedural manuals and capacity-building of border officials; training of shippers' associations.
4. Support for the creation and operationalization of joint border posts with Nigeria, Mali and Algeria.
5. Support for the operationalization of ICT tools to assist coordination (Interconnected Transit Freight Management System (SIGMAT), etc.).
