Reason
Sierra Leone notifies, pursuant to Article 16.2, that it requires additional time to notify its definitive dates for category B provisions. Hence, Sierra Leone requests that the WTO Committee on Trade Facilitation may consider extending the period for notification by Sierra Leone of its definitive dates for category B provisions until 31 May 2021.
The Mission wishes to inform the esteemed Committee that due to unavoidable challenges relating in particular to an under-resourced personnel within the concerned Ministry at the time, Sierra Leone has not been able to provide the necessary information to meet the aforementioned deadline for its notification.
In anticipation of a favourable consideration for its request, the Embassy and Permanent Mission of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva avail itself of this opportunity to renew to the secretariat of the World Trade Organization the assurances of its highest consideration.
